JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION:

Associate's degree in computer information systems or related technical field and/or 2 or more years of related work experience in System Support leadership and Infrastructure Administration and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

EXPERIENCE:

Leadership and project management experience in IT infrastructure areas such as servers, data centers, networking and end-user support is preferred. Experience with VMWare, Azure, O365 is preferred.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Must demonstrate the ability to communicate technical information both written and verbally to immediate supervisors, peers, and end users. Must be able to perform complicated research, reporting, and querying of data. Advanced training and certification in server/desktop administration, Microsoft, CCNA, and other IT industry recognized skills is preferred.

MAJOR JOB TASKS:

• Implement advanced monitoring, visualization, and automation toolsets to increase efficiency and decrease mean-time-to-repair.

• Implement Windows and Linux servers to meet business objectives.

• Manage and maintain critical server virtual infrastructure, physical infrastructure, and Storage Area Network

• Manage next generation firewall and VPN services.

• Administration of Active Directory and Azure Domain Services

• Administration of DNS and DHCP services

• Ensure high availability and acceptable performance of mission critical systems such as file servers, email servers, Customer Information Systems, and application servers

• Maintain strong working knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, ethernet, switching, and routing

• Administer backup & recovery applications

• Perform and test disaster recovery processes to ensure that enterprise data is effectively protected

• Perform and monitor software patching to maintain a low vulnerability on server resources

• Utilize scripting to streamline processes using tools like PowerShell and Python as necessary

• Develop and maintain training materials and server documentation as it relates to system configuration and best practices.

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:

• Vendors: To evaluate and order new equipment. To report equipment malfunctions, resolve hardware and software issues, and/or to keep updated on current technology.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have valid driver's license without violation, which would prohibit insurability.

• All specific equipment related to Information Technology as well as routine office equipment. Work is performed in an office environment with higher and/or longer noise level than average. Weekends, evening hours, overtime and/or overnight travel may often be necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasional lifting, up to 50 pounds, required. Normal vision and hearing required.
