Xylem Project Manager in Farnborough, United Kingdom

We are looking for an experienced and talented Project Manager to join our team in the UK. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest levels of quality and communication. You will manage a diverse and geographically dispersed team, provide commercial, financial, and governance support to the project team, and monitor and minimize commercial risks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest levels of quality and communication

  • Manage workload and allocation of tasks or projects of the project engineers

  • Provide commercial, financial, and governance support to the project team

  • Monitor and minimize commercial risks for projects and batches of projects

  • Manage health and safety requirements for each assigned job within areas of responsibility to ensure Xylem fulfills its obligations

  • Administer assigned contracts throughout the project lifecycle, including executing contractual claims and dispute resolution

  • Maintain a risk register for all allocated projects

  • Ensure timely financial management and reporting on the performance and invoicing of allocated projects

  • Manage adherence to project management policies, processes, and procedures

  • Provide technical leadership in mechanical, electrical and water process engineering aspects projects

  • Support the sales and project delivery team on commercial issues

  • Collaborate with other departments to comply with all company requirements, such as finance, procurement, and logistics.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management

  • Excellent working knowledge of contract law, including those contracts used in the water industry (e.g., IChemE and NEC 3 or 4)

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations

  • Good knowledge of, and experience in, water/waste water treatment and pumping applications is essential

  • Excellent organization, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work as part of a high-performing team

  • Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel throughout the UK.
