ZF Active Safety and Electronics US LLC Senior Algorithm Engineer, Application Integration in Farmington Hills, Michigan

Job Duties: Responsible to execute algorithm/function development for AEB & Steering products; Follow development process ISO26262 & ASPICE/EEPM using PLM software Windchill and agile development process; Analyze safety function (e.g., AEB & AES) related requirements; Review NHTSA safety system related proposals and share feedback to legal team; Initiate software change requests; Requirement elicitation and management in DOORS; Participate in change control boards to discuss & review proposed software changes; Develop and implement new algorithms to enhance function capabilities using Matlab, Simulink, TargetLink, C-Code; Review work products related to algorithm engineering, requirements, software developed in Simulink, Matlab, C-Code, and test results, either from simulation or real vehicle tests; Conduct software testing; Test own software implementations; Perform Open Road Analysis, MiL/SiL tests using tools like CarMaker and Gogeta (in-house tool), and static code analysis and address findings; Conduct in-vehicle tests/tuning; Verify system behavior & performance; Tuning of AEB and Steering Assist; and Work with CANalzyer, CANape, ZF Visual, dSpace ControlDesk, Camera, Radar, ESC, Vector CAN interfaces, Brick PC, Xkrug, Autobox, & Xylon logger. Position requires up to 10% travel to domestic and international locations in order to attend demo events, visit customer sites, and to present ZF ADAS systems integrated in vehicles. A hybrid telecommute work schedule is available.

Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus 5 years of experience in function development, algorithm development, or related occupations, and demonstrated experience with: Agile software development; Radar, camera, and ESC technology; Model based development of safety functions for AEB and AES; C; Python; Matlab; Simulink; TargetLink; CarMaker; CANalzyer; CANape; DOORS; Vector CAN interfaces; Autobox; Xkrug; ISO 262626; ASPICE; NCAP regulations; Testing and tuning; System architecture; and Software architecture; and Must have a Driver's License.
