Local client is seeking a Grinder Machinist for high volume production machine shop. High tech 40,000 sq ft facility with air conditioning and a great opportunity for growth and learning! salary: $45,000 - $52,500 per year

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Selecting proper holding devices for work, such as chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, sine plates, etc

• Performing ID (inner diameter), OD (outer diameter), and surface grinding

• Deburring parts during machining operations

• Maintaining necessary records

• Setting up and operating precision grinding equipment

• Performing basic grinding operations on manual equipment

• Identifying cost savings opportunities

• Performing preventive maintenance on grinding equipment

• Inspecting ground parts using precision measuring equipment, optical flats, micrometers, indicators, etc

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
