Overview
Responsible for developing strategies and tactics to achieve customer objectives, KPIs, and targets by implementing strategies and tactics and managing customers in a manner that will achieve profitable long-term growth. The Dir, Key Account will also oversee and manage a team of Key Account Managers to ensure execution and delivery of objectives for strategic partners.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for sales, promotion, and marketing of brands by providing maximum company sales through planning, executing, follow-up, evaluation, and review
Supervise the activities of assigned accounts to ensure maximum sales and profits
Coach, direct, and counsel team members on overall performance; define expectations and monitors progress
Strategize with senior sales management to enhance contribution to sales goals and companywide sales strategies
Provide sales training, brand awareness, and development direction to internal sales professionals and chain buyers
Establish a course of action to accomplish sales and specific goals/programming
Provide reports and maintain communication of current and projected goals/objectives
Present, educate, and ensure execution of monthly programs
Conduct market surveys to determine and track competing brands and wholesalers
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, results, and recommendations for market improvement
Create and maintain recap of all sales promotion activity
Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree and an equivalent combination of education and experience
Seven years of industry related sales experience within the distribution, hospitality or supplier community
Valid state motor vehicle operator s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance by State laws
Ability to work flexible hours which include early morning (i.e., 4:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. start times), evenings, and weekends
Ability to work overnight travel as required
Physical Demands
Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
