Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will have a broad range of responsibilities within warehousing, packaging, and any other seasonal activities where help is needed. You will work in a pleasant company atmosphere with direct communication to all levels and room for social contacts. You are encouraged to take initiative and there will be lots of opportunities for self-development.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with peers and site management regarding any days off or tardiness.

• Follow safety practices, procedures, and engage in the positive culture.

• Timely communication of any concerns according to procedure with labor provider.

• Understand and enforce all QMS procedures, protocols, and safe practices.

• Process SAP transactions, goods receipts, requisitions, and issues.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Actively seek out training to increase your working knowledge of SAP.

• Manage a wide scope of tasks with multiple deadlines under minimal supervision while ensuring timely and accurate results.

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail.

• Work well independently and in a team environment as a mature professional with a positive attitude.

• Operate a forklift in a safe manner.

• Specific tasks may involve: Inventory, Retag, Returns, Seedpak washing/repairs, pallet repair, product sampling, general housekeeping, outbound load staging, and miscellaneous painting.

Hard Skills

• Valid Driver's License

• SAP experience (a plus)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents

• Mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

• Flexibility to work overtime

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs multiple times per day

• Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience (preferably in a warehouse environment)

• Computer skills

• Flexibility of shift work (2nd or 3rd shift may be possible)
