We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our dynamic Engineering team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in the field of engineering within a leading organization. Location: Faribault, MN (or Owatonna, MN) in office 5 days per week Timeline: This Internship opportunity is for May-August 2025 What's in it for you: You will have the opportunity to own a meaningful, real-life project within the Product Engineering Department that can directly create a positive impact on Daikin Applied's HVAC Development An opportunity to build relationships with other students beyond your department The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best What you will do: Work with an assigned engineer to research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of the design or application Design/test products or systems such as instruments, controls, fan coil, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems under the direction of the assigned engineer Work with fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems under the direction of assigned engineer Minimum Qualifications: Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering Experience with Solidworks or related CAD software Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) Preferred Qualifications: Successfully completed Thermodynamics I, and Fluid Mechanics Equal Opportunity Employment: It is the policy of Daikin Applied to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, genetic information, marital status, membership or activity in a local commission, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
