Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

As a Packager, you will be responsible for various tasks within the production environment, including making adjustments to machines based on product specifications and packaging sizes. You will handle package weights ranging from 5 lb bags to 2000 lb totes, ensure every package is barcoded for traceability, create labels using a computer, manually stack bags onto pallets, and dump totes of raw product into mills. You must be able to lift 50 lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Float through different tasks and areas of the production environment.

• Adjust machines based on product specifications and packaging sizes.

• Handle package weights ranging from 5 lb bags to 2000 lb totes.

• Ensure every package is barcoded for traceability.

• Create labels using a computer.

• Manually stack bags onto pallets.

• Dump totes of raw product into mills.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion.

• Experience in packaging, production environment, general labor, and forklift operation.

• Knowledge of food production, GMP, and machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High integrity and character, particularly in a food-grade environment.

• Ability to work in a production environment with potential exposure to wheat, sesame, coconut, oats, and dust.

Work Environment

You will have the option to train on a 7 AM - 3 PM or 3 PM - 11 PM schedule but must be able to move to a 12-hour shift when required. Shifts will be either 5 AM - 5:30 PM or 5 PM - 5:30 AM, working on a rotating schedule with some weeks being 36 hours and others 48 hours. On your first day, you will need to arrive 15-30 minutes before your shift to be fitted for your uniform and check-in. The dress code includes non-slip shoes (not steel-toed), provided uniforms, and the use of a mask and hairnet.
