This position is part of the R&D Department located in Fargo, ND and will be fully on-site. At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. You will be a part of the Molecular Biology group and report to the Senior Scientist responsible for the execution of the cloning workflows.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Execute molecular cloning workflows for the clients actively working in gene and cell therapy space.

• Use cutting edge molecular biology techniques to develop new DNA manufacturing platforms.

• Be a part of a large-scale biomanufacturing enterprise.

• Actively contribute to a team setting within the laboratory.

• Work in a cross-functional Department and apply influencing skills in a matrix environment.

  The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biochemistry, Microbiology or a related scientific field.

• One+ years of relevant work experience (years of Master’s training are included).

• Hands-on experience in molecular cloning techniques with solid understanding of genetic engineering principles.

• Hands-on experience in DNA analytical techniques like PCR and electrophoresis.

• Hands-on experience in bacterial culturing.

  It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Molecular vector design.

• Bacterial strain engineering.

• Nucleic acid and protein chromatography techniques.
