Job Description:

GDIT has an opportunity for a growth-oriented and execution-focused Vice President to join our team leading the Government Operations Business Area within the Federal Civilian Division. The Government Operations Business Area is a broad and diverse portfolio supporting a variety of Federal IT programs focused on delivering full-service enterprise infrastructure, digital modernization, shared services, cloud enablement, AI/ML, applications development, and management consulting.

The Government Operations Business Area Vice President will have full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility to win new business and to deliver existing work. The position will oversee a portfolio worth over $100M/year and will report as one of the key operating business areas to the GDIT Sector Vice President and General Manager. Success will be measured against specific revenue, operating income, and contracts award metrics consistent with a growing enterprise, as well as business relationships internally and externally, and leadership impact with our teams and our clients

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Full oversight and accountability of the GovOps portfolio, which includes setting and driving strategy and operating plans and ensuring alignment with Sector, Division and Company strategy and objectives;

  • Performing financial management with profit and loss responsibility for the portfolio, with the responsibility to meet or exceed financial targets;

  • Providing customer and technical oversight of the portfolio, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and superior service delivery;

  • Driving growth – in collaboration with the Sector and Division resources; delivering a strong book-to-bill, re-compete wins, and YoY new business growth;

  • Reinforcing the GDIT culture through accountability, curiosity and learning, results and impact, and positive energy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in managing/leading IT and professional services program portfolio; experience leading full P&L responsibilities for a portfolio of programs of $75M/yr with positive net margin performance

  • Demonstrated experience establishing and nurturing strong customer relationships, building business strategy and leading high-visibility, high-impact programs

  • Demonstrated success mounting new business capture campaigns, and hands-on engagement in developing capture strategy and proposal development.

  • Leadership qualities that translate into business outcomes – specifically around team building and cohesion, client relationship development, and strategic thinking around enterprise business matters

  • Outstanding communication capabilities, both verbal and written. Must have the ability to present in front of audiences of any size.

  • Demonstrated experience formulating and delivering business and technical briefings for senior and executive management and for external customer executives.

  • Ability and flexibility for travel local and within the U.S.

The likely salary range for this position is $203,112 - $264,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
