Lead SME Cloud Architect

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

As the Lead SME Cloud Architect, you will be a key participant in the implementation and expansion of a hybrid Enterprise cloud portfolio including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, cloud management and monitoring, application architecture and deployment in cloud environments, and design of cloud systems to include streamlining the development and release of software products and services.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, securing, and forecasting of Enterprise IT cloud initiatives

  • Lead the efforts to architect, integrate, deploy, and operate new IT solutions and technologies into the enterprise cloud portfolio

  • Analyzes customer requirements and provides highly innovative technical expertise on cloud computing techniques, technologies, and related cloud architectures.

  • Decompose business and system architecture to support clean-interface multi-team development.

  • Design, develop, test, operate, and sustain security computing architectures to include cloud, data centers, and overall infrastructure optimization activates.

  • Collect and document solution requirements, performance objectives, detailing metrics, and benchmarking measurements for independent evaluation.

  • Synchronize the technical strategy for multiple agile development projects.

  • Maintain and update skillset as it relates to coming trends in cloud technologies

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical artifacts pertaining to the design, standards, implementation, assessment, and analysis of Enterprise cloud services

  • Provide training, webinars, whitepapers as necessary to customers and on demand

  • Communicate proactively and effectively with customers

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Experience : 12 yrs

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect specializing in cloud services including a minimum of five (5) years of concurrent experience with architecting IT solutions using DevOps methodologies in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Certification as an Amazon Solutions Architect Professional

  • Advanced experience with GCP and Azure Cloud Platforms

  • Expert level understanding and experience in cloud native capabilities and services; Cloud virtualization & deployment models (private, public, hybrid, community); and Security: DHS STIG, Cloud SRG, IAVA, RMF, ATO

  • Expertise in remote and office-based user integration, as well as hybrid cloud architecture and cross-cloud connectivity

  • Experience in evaluation and analysis of workloads running in public and private cloud environments

  • Extensive experience with cloud network and security engineering

  • Significant experience in using the Agile Methodology of managing IT Project Teams

  • Significant experience with DevSecOps processes

  • Possess active 8570.01-M baseline certification(s) Security+ CE, CND or equivalent

Desired Experience

  • Experience with any DHS agencies or entities

  • Experience with RedHat Linux, CentOS Linux and Amazon Linux 2

  • Experience with build tools supporting cloud formation, automation, containerization, and API management

Security clearance level : Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust Suitability and a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)

The likely salary range for this position is $203,112 - $264,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
