Job Description:

Apply your expertise to advance the mission and optimize our business strategy as a Financial Analyst at GDIT. Here, you’ll support solving some of our clients’ biggest challenges and help us grow the business.

As a Financial Analyst at GDIT, you will be joining our Defense Agencies Finance team to support the ETM Next Generation Program. This position is hybrid with 3 days per week in the Falls Church, VA office.

HOW A FINANCIAL ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

● Perform financial functions to include cost accounting, revenue recognition, subcontractor financial management, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, Estimate-At-Completion (EAC) calculations, Accounts Receivable (AR) Reviews, purchase requisition review, proposal pricing, and other ad hoc reporting

● Forecast and Budgeting to include preparation, analysis, and input of revenue, costs and investments for monthly, quarterly and annual outlooks as well as strategic planning for multiple years

● Provide monthly and full year variance analysis, as well as providing opportunities and risks associated with assigned contracts

● Interface frequently with project manager, program staff and other business area leaders

● Supports assigned managers in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested.

● Financial monthly reviews with management to provide insight into the business

● Reviewing contracts and modifications, understanding contract terms, and support contract setup and enter project setup and Modifications in Oracle

● Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and generate financial reports as required

● Review and approve invoices for subcontractors and other vendors.

● Provide customer invoice assistance and review

● Be knowledgeable of and compliant with internal policies and procedures, as well as government regulations

● Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

● Required Experience: 2+ years of related financial analysis experience; OR in lieu of degree, 6 years of related experience is required

● Required Technical Skills: Strong MS Office skills, specifically Microsoft Excel to include Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced formulas

● Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and levels of an organization

● Preferred Skills: Oracle/Hyperion/Essbase/SmartView experience

● Location: Hybrid, Falls Church, VA

The likely salary range for this position is $59,500 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
