Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services ’ company, is looking for an Education & Training Specialist who will manage the Extremity Trauma & Amputation Center of Excellence (EACE) education and training projects with an emphasis on delivery of quality continuing medical education (CME) to participants.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the Extremity Trauma & Amputation Center of Excellence (EACE) enduring educational offerings.

  • Be responsible for the execution of instructional modules from concept to creation. Responsible for ensuing modules are 508 compliant and align to stated program objectives.

  • Utilize the appropriate educational platform to create modules. Ensure proper materials are submitted to allow for continuing education credit.

  • Coordinate and manage the EACE Limb Trauma Educational Series (LTES) monthly education activity.

  • Be responsible for coordinating and securing presenters, scheduling and setting up the virtual classrooms, reserving the telephone lines and sending out or posting slide sets and other program guides. Assist with scheduling, organizing, and communicating with subject matter experts for educational offerings. Serve as on site logistics lead and coordinate with the sponsoring organization for on-site audiovisual support

  • Communicate deadlines and collect required documentation from speakers as required for synchronous presentations. Create and post rolling 6-month schedule – after approved by EACE Chief of Clinical Affairs. Post updates to training schedule as necessary

  • Contact presenter(s) no later than 8 weeks before presentation to obtain presentation materials for live presentations. Route draft presentation to Chief of Clinical Affairs for approval. Place presenter(s) material in standardized format and distribute once approved. Arrange CME credit by coordinating with CME accrediting bodies.

  • Post updates to training schedules the first week of each month.

  • Advertise, conduct registration coordination, and monitor on EACE web site and SharePoint sites for both asynchronous and synchronous training activities.

  • Contact presenters and coordinate software and platform familiarization with presenters no later than 2 weeks prior to presentation.

  • Ensure that the EACE Clinical Affairs and Training Education website is reviewed on a regular (weekly) basis and maintained with all required Grand Rounds, FAST and enduring education module information to include registration links.

  • Coordinate and manage the annual Federal Advanced Skills training (FAST) course. FAST is a three-day face to face or synchronous virtual training symposium that provides DoD and the VA amputation healthcare professionals and researchers with advanced knowledge, skills and an arsenal of tools and techniques that can be practically implemented in the amputation specialty clinic setting.

  • Perform marketing activities to DoD/VA and civilian markets by using multiple media options, including the EACE external website, social media and SharePoint.

  • Work with selected presenters, critique presentations and offer tips for presenting to large audiences. Arrange CME credit with all pertinent accrediting bodies. Regularly review and update the EACE Clinical Affairs and Training Education website with all required FAST information.

  • Serve as liaison with the appropriate accrediting body in advance of the course/training, prepare and maintain all required documentation. This is including but not limited to, course objectives, attendance rosters, pretests, posttests, state and type of licensure and other data required by the credentialing agency. Collect data on the response to the course announcements, and manage student registration and attendance rosters

  • Provide and collect sign-in sheets for each session submitted to the EACE Training and Education Chief no later than 2-days after session. Ensure room and equipment setup and functionality by arriving 30 minutes prior to each session and having room ready 15 minutes prior to session

  • Support additional educational activities through CME acquisition, technology support or instructional module creation as needed to meet mission

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Education with Training Certification

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an educator or education manager with specific expertise in developing education curriculum, arranging conferences and must be familiar with a range of education technologies delivering remote training

  • Must have favorable T1 Investigation or the ability to obtain/maintain T1 Investigation

  • Master’s degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert in white board, video teleconferencing, learning management systems and virtual classroom software

  • Demonstrated ability to put on healthcare educational programs from concept to the delivery of content, and CME credit

  • Demonstrated ability performing education program support with such agencies as Defense Health Agency (DHA), the DoD Services, universities, private businesses, government institutions, and professional societies

  • Experience in developing education curriculum.

  • Experience with video teleconferencing, learning management systems, and virtual classroom software.

  • Experience in performing various administrative duties, communicating and maintaining education and training schedule.

  • Experience in reviewing and critiquing presentations, and offering tips for presenting.
