Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions, and install quality control systems, develop, and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Our teams develop, implement, and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, products, and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action, and customer communication.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, communicate and improve key Customer KPI’s, including Customer Scorecards, Corrective actions response time and PPM improvement.

  • Participate on voice of the customer activities to deliver Extraordinary Customer Experience (ECE)

  • Drive and engage cross-functional teams to conduct root cause analysis on both internal and external quality issues and formulate resolutions in a timely manner. Also, to ensure the implementation and effectiveness of actions

  • Promote and Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the plant using proactive tools such as Lean (TEOA), Six-Sigma, Oka-Yoke (Error Proofing),

  • Measurement System Analysis, Advance Product and Quality Planning (APQP) Statistical Process control (SPC) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)

  • Maintain a statistically stable measurement system for products in accordance with accepted industry standards.

  • Actively participate and advocate TE Connectivity’s Lean methodology (TEOA), driving the quality teams. Identify gaps and opportunities and drive continuous improvement throughout the plant.

  • Key interface with Sales, Product Marketing, and Manufacturing to meet customer’s needs through customer contact

  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering in development of acceptable process and values and associated monitoring for key components

  • Partner with support staff and matrixed reports to ensure the support and resources provided align with the needs of the operation

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or related technical field preferred

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a manufacturing plant environment.

  • Experience working with and developing strong relationships with multiple customers and suppliers in a high-volume, high-mix industry.

  • Working knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 and appropriate experience

  • Proven Six Sigma and lean experience is highly desirable.

  • Excellent time management skills to manage multiple projects and demands.

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of quality tools including, but not limited to, FMEA, SPC, 8D, 5-WHY problem-solving tools, PPAP and FAI’s

  • Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Strong knowledge of Calibration and Inspection methodologies

  • Ability to influence and drive cross-functional teamwork, ability to work well with internal and external customers.

  • Ability to direct identification of root cause, drive improvement actions, and resolve problems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in using MS Office 365

  • Experience working within an SAP environment

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $59,680 - 89,520 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
