Job Description

If you have the talent and passion for designing creative user interfaces to enhance the user experience, with a focus on function and aesthetics, then this is the job for you.

As an Interactive UI Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging user interfaces for various digital platforms, ensuring an exceptional user experience and seamless interaction for our software ecosystem, mobile applications and other digital experiences. Since you will be working closely with our product managers, user experience researcher, software engineers, and other key stakeholders, being a team player will be critical to your success. Your tasks will include the creation of UI workflows, mockups, and functional prototypes to help design and develop the next generation of products at Bosch.

Responsibilities:

  • Wireframing and Storyboarding: Translate conceptual ideas into wireframes, storyboards, and user flows to outline the structure and flow of interactive experiences .

  • User Interface Design : Develop visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for web, mobile, and other digital platforms, incorporating user-centered design principles.

  • Visual Design : Design graphical elements such as icons, buttons, and graphics that enhance the overall look and feel of the user interface, maintaining brand consistency.

  • Interactive Prototyping : Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate the functionality and behavior of the designed interfaces, allowing for user testing and feedback.

  • Documentation: Create design documentation including style guides, design specifications, and UI patterns to facilitate collaboration and maintain consistency across projects

  • Collaboration : Work closely with product managers, UX researcher, and software developers, to understand project requirements, user needs, technical constraints, and iterate on designs accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Interactive Media, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • A minimum of five (5) years of UI/interaction design experience.

  • Experience with responsive or adaptive web design approaches and frameworks that incorporate strong grid principles.

  • Solid understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.

  • Proficiency in FIGMA or Sketch Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

  • Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Proven experience as a UI designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing interactive design projects that demonstrates systematic and creative design thinking.

  • Familiar with user-centered design principles and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey design ideas and rationale.

  • 10-15% travel

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $130,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
