All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in this job description and must be available for the entire period of employment specified from May 4, 2024 to October 25, 2024. Workers will perform a combination of tasks involved in the planting, cultivating and harvesting of diversified ground crops. Workers will work in greenhouse planting and transplanting seedlings. Workers will operate farm machinery and work in a storage building washing, culling, and preparing produce for storage or distribution. Workers will operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer\'s fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as-needed basis. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess a valid drivers license, no worker will be rejected for not having a driver\'s license. Workers will plant and transplant crops in the field. Workers will perform field work of hand weeding, thinning and hoeing, as well as other duties related to the planting, maintaining and harvesting of the crops. Workers are required to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time. Workers must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers will harvest the crops according to the quality and method of the employer. Workers will work in varied weather conditions. Workers may be required to work 9 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm from Monday through Saturday. Beginning and ending times will vary depending on the crop conditions. Workers will be given a 30-minute lunch break. Workers must be able to work 6 or more days a week. Workers must be timely and able to be in accordance with the employers preferred start and end times. Workers must be able to take directions in simple English.
