We are looking for a qualified candidate to prepare items for painting, mixes paints according to Paint Thinning Guidelines and paints component parts and equipment using paint pot and air paint spray gun in a team environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Masks off all areas not requiring paint. Applies primer coat to specified thickness requirements and checks for drips, runs, and inadequate coverage. Mixes paint with thinner according to paint specification sheet and the handling time required. Paints product according to paint specifications. Checks product for any necessary painting touch-up after item is re-assembled. Cleans painting equipment and paint booth. Inventories, requisitions, and rotates paint stock. Reads blueprints, diagrams and/or schematic and job orders to interpret specifications and to determine work procedures. Follows diagrams, blueprints and/or schematics. Works alone or as a member of a group working at different work stations as production needs require or shifts from one station to another. Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications. Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or if requested assists workers in solving work problems Other duties as assigned
