Senior Manager II, UX UI Design

POSITION PROFILE

The Senior Manager II of UX/UI is responsible for defining and championing our user experience vision and design across multiple B2B products in-market or planned for in Ricoh’s portfolio. Focusing on ensuring our user experience stands out in the market and makes it a key driver of our company’s market position and success. Developing standards and best practices for UX/UI and managing and guiding a diverse team of professionals designing and developing offerings in support of Ricoh’s business strategy.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a clear vision for the UX/UI function, aligning it with the overall product and company strategy and vision.

  • Define and implement UX/UI design standards, best practices, and processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across products and platforms by establishing and maintaining a design system.

  • Set standards for UX work product including wireframes, design comps, style guides, interaction prototypes, HTML templates etc.

  • Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and other collaborative design activities to generate ideas, gather feedback, and drive decision-making with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Define strategic roadmap activities for UX in support of Portfolio Strategy team goals and long term vision

  • Work collaboratively within an agile product team made up of product managers, developers and fellow UX team-members to create exceptional experiences through iterative releases

  • Lead the creation of exceptional user experiences by defining the approach and high-level solution for new and/or changes to existing customer experiences

  • Oversee all work in flight on the team to ensure it meets quality standards and supports product and team goals

  • Initiate and utilize customer feedback via user research, A/B testing, and site analytics to improve upon UX solutions

  • Engage in early strategic visioning workshops to create clickable prototypes used to sense market interest

  • Stay on top of competitive and market experiences to help drive continuous improvements to products

  • Lead, coach and mentor team of Architects, Strategists, Developers and Front End Designers/Developers and foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.

  • Agility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

  • Translate user needs and business requirements into compelling and intuitive design solutions through strong analytical and problem-solving.

  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, to align UX/UI strategies with business goals and objectives.

  • Continued learning to stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design through self-learning, attending conferences, and participating in professional development activities.

  • Alignment with company values and culture, including a passion for innovation, creativity, and excellence in design.

Additional Pay Details

Compensation Range

$130,000 to $ 150,000 Per year

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Graphic Design, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of user interface design patterns and methodologies

  • Ability to communicate design concepts effectively, build consensus, and justify decisions

  • Ability to identify, document and communicate solutions through user flows, storyboards, wireframes, personas, prototypes, test cases, or written specifications and user stories

  • Experience managing UX tasks within an Agile development environment

  • Fluent in IA tools such as Visio, Balsamiq, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite or other

  • Experience with and strong understanding of modern front end development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript etc.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.

  • Proven track record of leading and managing UX/UI teams in delivering innovative, user-centered design solutions.

  • Extensive experience in all aspects of the UX/UI design process, including user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, building and maintaining design systems, prototyping, and usability testing.

  • Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of UX/UI design projects across web, mobile, and other digital platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex design problems and deliver elegant, user-centered solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.

KNOWLEDGE, Skills And Abilities

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar tools.

  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as responsive design principles.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG) and experience in designing accessible user interfaces.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders including executive and senior leadership teams.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, build consensus, and drive alignment towards shared goals and objectives.

  • Experience in facilitating workshops, design sprints, and other collaborative design activities to generate ideas, gather feedback, and drive decision-making.

Working Conditions, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work in a fast paced, collaborative environment with a diverse team of expert professionals.

  • Frequent review and creation of detailed documentation using a variety of software tools.

  • Travel may be required for up to 25% of total hours.

  • Typically, an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

  • Work assignments are diversified. Interpret, comprehend and apply complex material, data and instruction – prepare, provide and convey diversified information.

  • Minimal physical effort required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically with less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files and small parts, etc.). Moderate dexterity – regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination.
