Job Summary: In this role, you will lead Strategic Sourcing efforts for this category. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining strategic sourcing plans and strategies that are directly supportive of global strategic sourcing business objectives and professional/ethical business practices. Drive cross-plant consistency of the globally harmonized strategic sourcing responsibilities and processes, while establishing and implementing best practices across the regions. Partner with the Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing and other Directors to vet and decide what activities may fall into each function and to collaborate on continuous supply assurance. Act as the upstream and downstream communicator translating enterprise targets into Strategic Sourcing priorities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the individual category to be successful delivering the objectives and provide mid-term/long-term outlook and vision. Develop and maintain supplier network with key and potential to support the changing requirements of the business. Strategic sourcing for new products that may involve market research, procurement due diligence, requirements and scope development, and planning and sourcing strategy Develop strategic sourcing strategies which align the long-term goals of the business. Set up management routines as to balance rigger process discipline e.g., in regard of meeting cadence, use of templates, documents and nerve center vs. necessary flexibility as to stay agile responding to short-term demands. Guide and support the team applying globally harmonized processes and execute sourcing initiatives to deliver optimal total cost of ownership, consolidate supplier base and drive efficiency through the chosen solutions, together with a multitude of global stakeholders at various levels and locations, leveraging scale and scope across the regional network. Provide proactive management of critical issues with suppliers. Inform and coordinate communication with key stakeholders on major supplier issues with recommendations for resolution. Understand and have a good knowledge, both within and beyond the own function, of the regional landscape of the supply market for goods and services in terms of supplier base, technologies, competitive environment, market trends and cost drivers. Find and implement strategic sourcing solutions previously unknown to West, or previously known but not actioned. Support and provide input to organizational structure changes to meet goals and objectives. Recommend best practice standards and internal policies globally, and vet them with leadership on suitability to be implemented on a global level. Identify and assess risks and benefits of sourcing decisions and clearly present proposals to mitigate risks collaboratively, ensuring sustained product supply-quality-compliance. Build and keep up a trustful and fruitful relationship wi h cross functional peers. Align cross functional targets as to balance resources Perform supplier relationship management to ensure continuous improvement and innovation, best in class pricing, product and service quality, continuity of goods and services, and alignment with internal stakeholders and company strategies. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and all safety rules. Ensure adequate protection of confidential information and documentation. Restrict access to confidential information. Ensure that key operational and essential documentation files are properly stored. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, business or related technical degree required Master's Degree, MBA preferred

Work Experience: Minimum 10 years (Dir) progressive business experience in sourcing / supplier / category management or related functions / in-depth sourcing experience and technical knowledge of the Electronic Manufacturing Services along with electronics components categories, required Medical device manufacturing experience preferred

Able to always comply with the company's quality policy. Broad supplier and contract management experience. Ability to work with senior leadership teams at manufacturing sites and global headquarters. Excellent influencing, change management, and negotiation skills. Present and advocate sourcing cases to a variety of audiences with self-confidence. Ability to respectfully communicate to and challenge senior leadership. Openness for new initiatives, fast learner, proactive. Track record of leading teams and building effective working relationships both internally and externally. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Results orientation. Excellent analytical capabilities. Self-starter and independent worker. Proficiency in English.

Licenses and Certifications: CPM - Certification by The Institute For Supply Management upon hire preferred Travel Requirements: Estimated Amount 30%: Up to 78 business days per year
