Job Overview

At TE Connectivity a typical month for a Demand Analyst begins with a 2-week forecasting cycle and ends with a 2-week period with more focus on process management, project work and forecast maintenance.

• During the 2-week forecasting cycle, most of the time will be spent updating forecasts in the S&OP system SAP IBP, while a few meetings with Product Managers and the S&OP Team will take place to align on forecasts.

During this period, process management and project work are kept to a minimum.

• During the 2-week period following the forecasting cycle, most of the time is spent on process management, project work and ad hoc tasks / meetings (e.g. 1:1 meetings with your supervisor, team meetings, etc.).

During this period, active forecasting is kept to a minimum.

Main responsabilites:

• Generate a Consensus Forecast for a selected product portfolio in cooperation with Sales & Product Management

• Ownership and continuous improvement of selected processes and reports

• Monitoring, analysis and integration of different market and customer inputs into the Consensus Forecast

• Manage ramp up and ramp down curves for new and end of life products respectively

• Root cause analysis and resolution of forecast verification requests

• Lead monthly product and demand review preparation meetings in rotation with other team members

• Collaboration with other functions, such as Product Management, Sales, Planning, Finance and Procurement

• Contribution to projects outside of S&OP, as needed

What your background should look like:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Economics or Finance or with quantitative focus, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Informatics

• 3 years+ work experience in Automotive or Transportation industry [Preferred]

• Planning or forecasting experience [Preferred]

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing) [Required]

• 2+ years applied data analysis experience with MS Excel [Required]

• Analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills [Required]

• Motivation to work in a diverse, inclusive, and global environment [Required]

• Desire to learn continuously and drive process improvements [Required]

• Knowledge in MS Power BI [Preferred]

• Knowledge in AI and / or Statistical Forecasting [Preferred]

• Knowledge in SAP R3 or equivalent ERP System [Preferred]

• Knowledge in S&OP system (e.g., SAP IBP, JDA, etc.) [Preferred]
