Job Summary

The Operations Analyst helps the District solve internal problems and implement goal-oriented strategies. Using data and statistical analysis to drive decisions, they evaluate problems, calculate risk, and forecast outcomes. They identify operational problems, use models to research issues, recommend solutions all while collaborating with colleagues at various levels.

Minimum Qualifications

Operations Analyst I $72,716 - $90,895

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; OR
  • Four (4) years of experience in operations, business, or project management  

     

Operations Analyst II $91,215 - $114,018

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field AND
  • Two (2) years of experience in operations, business, or project management;  OR
  • Six (6) years of experience in operations, business, or project management

Preferred Education/Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Certification in Emergency Management 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS).
  • Knowledge of strategies for emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation strategies.

``` - Proficiency in project management principles and practices.

``` - Ability to conduct risk assessments and hazard vulnerability analyses. - Familiarity with natural and man-made hazards and their potential impacts. - Experience in developing and maintaining emergency operations plans (EOPs). - Knowledge of coordination with various stakeholders, including government agencies and private sector partners. - Ability to design and conduct emergency preparedness drills and exercises, and complete after-action reviews and improvement plans. - Experience in providing training and education on emergency preparedness. - Strong skills to address emergency situations effectively. - Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing circumstances during emergencies. - Ability to manage and use databases and information systems to support emergency operations (e.g., mass communication system, MS Teams EOC).
