Fortive Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our Digital Growth team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Google Cloud, including BigQuery, AI/ML, and possess strong skills in Looker Studio and Python. This role is critical in helping us drive data-driven decision-making and accelerate impact through the Fortive Business System (FBS).

*This is a hybrid position at Fortive HQ in Everett, WA

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Develop, design, and maintain BI solutions, including data models, dashboards, and reports using Google Cloud tools, BigQuery, and Looker Studio.

• ETL Processes and Data Pipeline Automation: Create, manage, and automate ETL processes to ensure data is accurately and efficiently processed and available for analysis.

• Database Management: Manage and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.

• Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other team members to understand requirements, deliver insights, and support data-driven decision-making.

• Python Scripting: Utilize Python for data manipulation, automation of tasks, and integration of various data sources.

• Data Visualization: Develop clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate insights and support business strategies.

• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems to ensure optimal performance and resolve any issues that arise.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI processes, data models, and analytics solutions.

• Digital Analytics: Leverage detailed knowledge of digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4 and FullStory to enhance data collection and facilitate analysis for end-users.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve BI solutions and processes.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a BI Developer role or similar

• Required Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically BigQuery.

• Strong experience with Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) for data visualization and reporting.

• Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.

• Strong experience with SQL and database management.

• Proficiency in ETL tools and processes, with an emphasis on data pipeline flow automation.

• Preferred Technical Skills

• Detailed knowledge of digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4 and FullStory is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and statistical modeling.

• Familiarity with other BI tools and Visualization platforms.

• Experience in BI Integration with CRM, Marketing Automation and ERP systems.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 79,700.00 - 147,900.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
