    Sterling Industrial, LLC., provides civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural contracting services for new construction and maintenance/retrofit applications, as well as shop fabricating and machining services to complement our field services and Customer needs.     Position Summary:

    This position will conduct daily site safety inspections/audits, documents findings and implement corrective actions and conducts training as needed. Will lead and/or assist accident investigations, near-misses and property damage incidents to identify root cause(s) and develop effective corrective actions.

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor site safety programs and policies.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.

  • Deliver EHS training programs for employees.

  • Promote safety awareness and a culture of safety.

  • Maintain records of training sessions and participant attendance.

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills.

  • Coordinate emergency response teams and resources.

  • Ensure all staff are familiar with emergency procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records of safety data, training, and incidents.

  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.

  • Update and manage EHS documentation, including policies and procedures.

  • Serve as the primary EHS point of contact for site management and employees.

  • Collaborate with other departments to promote integrated safety practices.

  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and community organizations.

    Education/Experience

  • A 4-year or 2-year degree in health and safety or a related field is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 and 1910 standards.

  • 5+ Years’ experience as a Safety Professional in industrial and power plant environments.

  • Knowledge of construction pertaining to energy is a plus.

  • First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30, OSHA 500 or additional Board of Certified Safety Professional certifications is preferred.

  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills to effectively manage, train, motivate and communicate with employees, supervisors and customers.

  • Ability to manage personnel with strong leadership abilities to motivate and coach personnel to accomplish company-wide goals.

  • Good computer skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving history.

  • Satisfactory background check.

    · Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

    · Repetitive motion, substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

    · The worker is required to have close visual activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal

    · Requires sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time
