Job Summary : Performs radiologic examinations to allow accurate interpretation for diagnosis. Complete all appropriate paperwork and performs additional modalities as oriented. Take scheduled call.

Essential Job Functions :

• Transport all patients to and from the department for their designated procedures.

• Operate specialized radiographic equipment to produce quality images for diagnostic interpretation.

• Position anatomy, use proper breathing instructions, and select proper technical factors to produce quality radiographic images.

• Provide quality patient care demonstrated through C.A.R.E. standards of service excellence, professional code of ethics, and Eureka Community Health Services Avera values of compassion, hospitality and stewardship.

• Properly identify each patient, review each patient’s requisition and physician’s order to ensure proper radiographic examination.

• Performs electrocardiograms.

SCHEDULE:

Office hours in Radiology are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Call back reimbursement will be in effect after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday continuing until 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

On the job training by the Radiology Supervisor

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

High school diploma.

EXPERIENCE:

Hospital experience preferred.
