Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Tech

Texas Health Physicians Group’s Laboratory department is looking for a top skilled Medical Lab Scientist/Tech. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Physicians Group- 251 Westpark Way, Suite 212 Euless, TX 76040

Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Night Shift; Monday – Friday from 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Here’s What You Need

Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor's Degree in MT program or equivalent Science Required

Job requirements posted as MLS – This department will also consider MLT with an Associates Degree.

Experience

· 1 Years Hospital Experience or Medical Laboratory Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

· MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist 90 Days required or

· MLS(ASCP) - Medical Lab Scientist 90 Days required or

· Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology required upon hire or

What You Will Do

· Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and test analysis.

· Adhere to laboratory quality control policies, document all quality control activities and corrective action.

· Adhere to all laboratory policies for established acceptability for proficiency testing, corrective actions and resolution of deficiencies.

· Communicates directly with clinicians regarding critical lab results and patient care.

· Operates, calibrates, and conducts performance checks on laboratory equipment in accordance with lab policies and vendor requirements.

· Demonstrates competency in all areas of the laboratory for which patient test reports are issued.

· Other duties as assigned
