The Implementation and Support group of Hill's Pet Nutrition, is dedicated to adapting and geographically expanding innovative products across our premium wellness and therapeutic product portfolios. We are currently seeking a talented individual to lead European pet food product development projects. In this role, you will be responsible for both the development of new pet food products and the maintenance of existing formulations, primarily at co-manufacturing plants.

This position requires close collaboration with various teams, including quality, regulatory, supply chain, manufacturing technology, procurement, packaging, external ingredient suppliers, and co-manufacturing colleagues, to ensure the successful development and launch of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Development: Partner with co-manufacturer colleagues and manufacturing technology teams to optimize product and process development.

  • Formulation Management: Develop and maintain European pet food product formulations and specifications.

  • Specification Maintenance: Identify, specify, and maintain ingredient and process specifications to ensure product consistency and quality.

  • Performance Validation: Validate product performance through coordination and interpretation of product analytical, biological, palatability, sensory, and stability testing.

  • Continuous Improvement: Manage process deviations and ensure continuous improvement in product safety.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Educational background: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Food Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development, ideally in pet food development

  • Skills: Proficiency in productivity , ability to design experiments, execute projects, and analyze data, ability to collaborate effectively in cross -functional teams in a multicultural work environment

  • Languages: Fluent in English, French is a plus.

  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel. Expected percentage of travel: 25%
