Salary: $57,000-$65,000

Other Forms of Compensation: Annual bonus incentive up to 10%

Job Summary

Are you an energetic leader with a passion for transforming dining experiences? We're seeking a dynamic Director of Dining Services to lead our team in delivering outstanding service and unforgettable culinary adventures for our long-tenured and premier K12 school district at Essexville-Hampton Public Schools in Essexville, MI. Serving 2,000 students across 4 schools (plus vending food to two additional), you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our dining services, from strategic planning to operational excellence.

This role offers abundant opportunities for growth. Reporting to the Area Director, successful candidate will focus on innovative marketing strategies and building a strong, cohesive team of 15 frontline staff. With your strong interpersonal skills, you'll lead client relations, captivate students' attention, and encourage them to return to campus dining. Additionally, you'll help create a vibrant, engaging dining environment that students will love.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire our team of 15 frontline associates.

  • Drive strategic initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability.

  • Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the organization.

  • Lead the annual budget and control costs efficiently.

  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Food Services Technology/Management/Hospitality preferred or equivalent experience.**

  • Three plus years of foodservice management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of high-volume food production and (catering trends) is preferred.

  • Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in computer skills.
