We are looking for a talented individual to join the Ford Pro Special Vehicles Technical Authoring team to support the creation and maintenance of the Body & Equipment Mounting Manual (BEMM), focused on driving an exceptional product & customer experience. The Special Vehicles team has seen a significant growth in its market share of the conversion industry over the last few years. With this growth comes an increased customer expectation on the level of services provided. We are now looking for an Engineer for this team that will be tasked with gathering input information and editing our conversion technical manual for all CV products as well investigating opportunities to move the historic BEMM into an innovative new look with Customer Experience at its core.

This opportunity seeks an energetic individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the drive to deliver the best-in-class BEMM to our customers in an agile timely manner.

  • Support the Senior Engineer to deliver the overall workload priority plan and be responsible for delivering updated content for each Program BEMM.

  • Initiate and lead discussions with the Program team Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to review, update/edit, author, and publish necessary content change.

  • Have a customer mindset and positive attitude of ‘how might we’ when managing update requests or addressing feedback from internal & external customers e.g., Conversion Development Managers (internal) or convertors/up-fitters (external).

  • Use TeamCentre and Vismockup to create CAD images that help explain technical issues in a simplified way.

  • Use Adobe Photoshop and InDesign to edit, author & publish updates in alignment with the current formatting.

  • Program or Project Management skills essential; knowledge of assessing Program Direction Letter’s desirable.

  • An understanding of Product Development tool Global Integrator

  • Proficient CAD skills in TeamCentre and VisMockup.

  • Expert in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.

  • Prior Commercial Vehicle experience highly desirable.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and aural.

  • Qualification to Degree level in Engineering or similar qualification but we are open to applicants with alternative relevant backgrounds & qualifications.

  • Demonstrate a “Can Do”, “How Might we….” Attitude and Agile mindset.
