About the role:

The role of the Sales & Brand Manager, AWC, Finland is to drive growth to revenue and profit in the market by leading, coaching and motivating the local sales teams in Finland with use of the Convatec selling framework and solution sales. You will also be responsible for planning and execution of local Finnish marketing tasks, exhibitions etc.

You will be working closely with all other functions within the AWC Nordic organization.

The AWC area is targeted towards highly skilled HCP’s (Doctors and Nurses).

The Sales & Brand Manager, AWC, Finland acts with the highest level of integrity to grow the business by driving sales and profit.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Growing the AWC business in Finland by prioritizing the right business opportunities, and deliver on the Finnish annual budget

  • Management of 4 Territory Managers (Sales) in Finland

  • Inspire an energetic culture of high-performance focus and sustainable over achievement, through the HPT principles

  • Organizes and executes congresses and events in Finland to ensure brand awareness and customer interaction

  • Localizing Nordic brand materials for Finland

  • Product forecast for Finland

  • Responsible for the sales budget planning process in Finland

  • Co-responsible for creating successful market access in Finland for existing and new products within pre-tender, submission, and implementation phases in cooperation with local market access and other relevant Nordic stakeholders

  • Monitors and analyses sales performance in PowerBI

  • Understands drivers of development and actions opportunities/challenges

  • Proactively identifies key issues and delivers efficient responses to business development opportunities

  • Master usage of CRM, PBI, Showpad to guide Territory Managers performance, monitor results and improve effectiveness of sales force

  • Provide ongoing coaching of the sales team to improve work performance and develop skills and abilities where the ability in using internal sales tool systems is key

  • Communicates clear performance expectations and ensures feedback and coaching to Finnish sales team

  • Translating our AWC ambition into scalable personal objectives for each Territory Manager in Finland, with clear measures in place and on-going reviews to ensure the team and individuals are on track

  • Working directly with customers, opinion leaders, technical experts, and professional staff as well as broad exposure to the healthcare industry and its competitors

  • Co-Travels with Sales Reps in Finland

  • Estimated split between Sales and Marketing: 60/40

Key Requirements

The candidate will be a proven hands-on leader who has successfully led a sales organization and can demonstrate a track record of achieving sales growth. Skilled in defining and implementing annual sales planning and product roll outs is essential.

Knowledge of the medical device marketplace, advanced wound care or related environments would be preferable.

The individual must have the resilience, adaptability and confidence to operate in a times of change and ambiguity whilst continuing to motivate and positively influence the team.

  • Relevant Business, Sales/Marketing education

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales position of similar industry with people management.

  • 2-3 years of marketing experience, and a marketing mindset

  • Coaching and mentoring skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of Sales Training and Market Access

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems and data gathered from a variety of sources to take effective decision and deliver superior business solutions

  • Firsthand experience working directly with customers, opinion leaders and professional staff as well as broad exposure to the healthcare industry and its competitors is preferred

  • Passion for digital tools

  • Knowledge in planning and organizing meetings, congresses, and exhibitions

  • Strong analytical skills, good written and verbal communication competencies, able to analyze and interpret data to support decision making and leverage 360 dialogue (good excel/PowerPoint skills)

  • Strong and passionate leadership skills with respect and trust in the individuals

  • Experienced in managing local market and key customer groups

  • Good presentation skills

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Marketing or Business economics

  • Experience in Advanced Wound Care

  • P&L knowledge

Travel requirements

Up to 60% in connection with co-driving/coaching of sales team, key accounts meeting, national congresses, team meetings, internal sales conferences.

Language skills required

  • This role requires Fluent Finnish language skills (writing, reading and speaking)

  • English fluent (writing, reading and speaking)

Working conditions

National legislation / full week working time.

Working environment is split between office (Helsinki, Vantaa area) and home office and co-travelling/customer visits.
