About the Role

As an end-to-end smart Machines Technology Lead, you will be working in the area of Connected coffee machines, ensuring consistency and excellence from firmware to mobile application connectivity. You will be focusing on a thrilling area, shaping engagement and interactions with our customers.

You will work in a rich ecosystems of teams, from R&D to Operations to IT and Digital, on the complete value chain of our machines. You will liaise and collaborate with those teams to optimize our delivery and quality process, ensuring that we ship technology that fully enables the best user experience.

You have a complete and versatile profile, you have experience in hardware/embedded systems and extensive experience in software delivery. You are able to drive technology initiatives across the board, engaging with multiple teams with shared targets and practices.

What You’ll Bring

• Lead the end-to-end technical architecture design and implementation of our connected coffee machine ecosystem, including IoT devices and mobile applications.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and prioritize technical requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient solutions.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Conduct thorough research on emerging technologies and industry trends, making strategic recommendations for enhancing our IoT coffee machine offerings.

• Evaluate and select appropriate hardware, software, and cloud platforms for the implementation of our connected coffee machine infrastructure.

• Ensure adherence to industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements in the development and deployment of our IoT solutions.

• Proactively identify technical risks, challenges, and bottlenecks, and propose effective mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system performance metrics, establish benchmarks, and monitor the performance of our IoT coffee machine ecosystem.

• Stay up-to-date with advancements in IoT, mobile application development, and related fields, sharing knowledge and promoting a culture of continuous learning within the team.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience (10+ years) as a Technical Lead in the development of IoT solutions and mobile applications, with a track record of successfully delivering scalable and high-performance solutions

• Strong expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end IoT architectures, including device connectivity, data ingestion, storage, and analytics.

• Proficiency in software development practices & software architecture both in backend systems and in mobile tech stacks; and experience with security protocols, encryption, and authentication methods for IoT devices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and propose innovative solutions and strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Bonus Points If You:

• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and experience with cloud-based IoT services.
