Job Title: Technician
Job Description
The Technician will be responsible for executing tests, documenting data, and reporting findings to the team. This role involves verifying test specifications, creating test setups, and accurately reporting test incidents. The Technician will also be responsible for maintaining test equipment and writing detailed reports to identify issues using data analysis.
Responsibilities
Verify that test specifications are correct and can be executed with the available resources.
Create test setups that match engineering specifications, including interpreting test procedures and diagrams, instrumentation, data acquisition, test article diagnostics, and front-line root causing.
Accurately report test incidents in layperson terms.
Maintain, ensure safety, and schedule the use of Test Team equipment.
Write high-quality and detailed reports that address the root of any issues identified during tests using data and first-order analysis.
Essential Skills
Troubleshooting
Electro-mechanical skills
Schematic interpretation
Assembly experience with hand & power tools (manual mills, bandsaws, screwdrivers, wrenches, torque drivers, drills, calipers/measurement tools, etc.)
Ability to read SOPs and technical instructions
Great problem-solving skills
Good judgment and proactivity
Strong communication skills to report data to the engineering team
Strong attention to detail
Familiarity with 80/20 builds
Creation and execution of test builds
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Soldering skills (nice to have)
Experience working on hardware/software projects and collaborating with engineers
Ability to understand and interpret a wide variety of technical documents (electrical schematics, mechanical drawings)
Ability to organize data in a way that is easy to understand

Work Environment
The work involves testing the components of prototype drones, including electronics, drop door hatches, bodies, and fuselages. The Technician will use hand tools, bandsaws, manual mills, torque drivers, wrenches, and O-scopes. Training on proprietary software for testing sensors will be provided in-house. The role requires flexibility with shifts, including AM and swing shifts, and the possibility of working as late as midnight and on weekends.

This is a Contract position based out of Esparto, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00
