Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Reports to: Director of Nursing, OR RN

Location: Bergen County, New Jersey

Job type: 3 months to start with, high likelihood of perm conversion based on skills and attitude.

Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist provides competent and skilled assistance to the surgeon while maintaining the sterile field during the surgical procedure by performing job responsibilities listed herein.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program

  • Certification or Registry as Surgical Technologist (state-dependent)

  • One year OR scrub experience

  • CPR certification within 6 months of hire

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety

  • Plan, prepare, and assemble sterile supplies and instruments

  • Handle sterile and contaminated items properly

  • Demonstrate knowledge of surgical instrumentation

  • Prepare operating rooms with equipment and supplies

  • Anticipate and respond to procedure needs

  • Protect patient privacy and adhere to HIPAA standards

  • Proficiency in surgical instrumentation and equipment

Pay Details: $38.00 to $40.00 per hour
