Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Staff InfoSec Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in fortifying our security infrastructure by spearheading the design, optimization, and implementation of our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) systems. You'll also provide expert consultation on automation initiatives for Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and other critical security controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cutting edge Next Generation SIEM, SOAR, and UEBA solutions to bolster the security operations across DISH's PayTV, Wireless, and Satellite networks

  • Architect and deploy robust logging and alerting solutions, ensuring the efficient handling and sanitization of incoming log sources and events

  • Collaborate closely with cross functional technology teams to streamline security processes and initiatives

  • Provide strategic guidance and support on the design and enhancement of Identity Management systems through automation

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in implementing monitoring systems

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages commonly used in security contexts, such as Python, SQL, and R; advanced scripting capabilities are highly advantageous

  • Expertise in various SIEM technologies, including extensive experience in log collection implementation

  • Strong grasp of data modeling, streaming analytics, and Machine Learning concepts

  • Demonstrated proficiency in User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) systems

  • Knowledgeable about Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Single SignOn (SSO) solutions

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of effectively presenting to technical and executive-level stakeholders

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $110,110.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
