•The Cybersecurity Engineer monitors the threat landscape and changing business requirements to Identify functional, technological and/or control solutions. Integrates all cybersecurity solutions in an optimal manner to best protect the organization from cyber threats and exposures. Technological solution owner responsible for technology selection based on business requirements and emerging threats. Assists with the design, development, configuration, and implementation of solutions and optimizes solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business issues related to cybersecurity and identity management. Designs, develops, and implements solutions to successfully integrate new information security and identity management systems with the existing architecture.

• Working with desktop and server configuration teams within linux, mac, and windows. Making sure gold images are up to par on their configurations.

• Within Rapid 7 will be running reports/scans out of Rapid 7 so doesn’t need to be SME but will be working with technical engineers to remediate and making sure proper security apps are installed. Making sure CIS configurations are up to date. Push through an approval process.

•Reviews and consults on security of technology solutions to resolve basic to intermediate technical and business issues.

•Assists in design, development, and implementation to integrate new solutions within the existing architecture.

•Provides support and works on multiple functions of basic to intermediate complexity.

• Mostly running scans and validating.

• Need to understand what their teams are trying to operate within a specific system.

Qualifications:

-Definitely a security background , some workstation configuration and previous role in Desktop engineering would be very helpful.

-Any ITSM platform is efficient, not specific technology. Rapid 7 and SCCM are going to be huge nice to haves.

• Tech stack: ServiceNow, Tech stack preferred: ServiceNow, advanced Google Workspace functions e.g., mail merge, Rapid7, SCCM, Citrix Storefront

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred

• 1 or more relevant technical/professional security certifications preferred

• 2-3 years required , 3-4 years’ preferred
