The Job:

As a Master Scheduler, you’ll be part of our Industrial IND Global Supply Chain Manufacturing team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to:

  • Report to the Senior Director of Manufacturing for North and South America, this position’s primary responsibilities are to develop, organize, update, monitor and report out on the overall master production schedules and rough-cut capacity for multiple manufacturing plants.

  • Work with other departments, such as S&OP, as necessary to link the master schedules and rough-cut capacity to SKU level demand forecasts by individual value stream processes/work centers.

  • Develop rough cut capacity tool which incorporates both personnel and equipment for internal capacity and OSP supplier external capacity to provide visibility of internal and external capacity constraints.

  • Report on actual customer demand, trends, and forecasts, and adjusts capacity plans accordingly.

  • Track and report on critical KPIs, such as on time in full (OTIF), Past Dues, etc…

  • Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work in process into a master production schedule with a time-phased build schedule, providing confirmations for customer demand.

  • Develop, maintain, and report on MTO and MTS methodologies at the product family and SKU levels.

  • Monitor 4-week frozen schedule and report out any deviations.

  • Determine where open capacity is for each plant to inform the commercial team where sales can be scheduled.

  • Conduct what if analysis to inform management the impact to critical KPIs for various production shift and/or sales scenarios.

  • Revise the master schedule as necessary when material shortages or capacity issues cannot be resolved to meet schedule.

  • Conduct time and motion studies to aid in determining rough cut capacity by value stream process and work center.

  • Determine lean improvement opportunities and participate/lead continuous improvement project(s) as needed.

  • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses and proposes changes in methods.

  • Utilize advanced specialized knowledge of manufacturing resource planning principles to support role responsibilities.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Industrial Engineering and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field.

  • Minimum of 5 years planning or logistics experience with 3 of those years being in manufacturing.

  • Enterprise Resource Planning or Material Resource Planning experience is required.

  • Ability to utilize ERP or MRP Software. JDE, InforLX, and MS Dynamics Navision is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Demonstrated capability working with Microsoft Office suite of products; extremely proficient in Excel formulas, look-ups and pivot tables. Query capability is a plus.
