JOB SUMMARY:The Maintenance Support Worker is responsible for a variety of duties agency wide. He/ She must be able to operate all kinds of equipment and performs all maintenance functions in a safe manner. The position requires the ability to work independently while providing quality services within regulatory guidelines. He/ She must be able to interaction with the people we support, staff and the community in a professional matter at all times. This position reports directly to the Coordinator of Maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Change door locks, change electric wall outlets & wall /Switches & plates. Repair, move and assemble furniture. Install wall shelves. Replace broken window/glass Hang curtains. Replace mini blinds & window shades, and replace screens. Repair appliances (washer/ dryers / dishwasher / air conditions and remove them or cover them. Replace faucets/handheld showers heads / toilets / sinks and snake toilets & house drains. Relight & repair boiler & water heaters adjust hot water temperature and replace water cooler bottles. File and complete work orders & paint logs, paint/caulk spackle & taping. Install paper towel holders and small portions of tiles in bathroom, regrout shower & tiles. Deliver / pick-up with van. Operate snow blower & shovel snow. Finish wood work, staining, carpentry, molding work. Repair damage to facilities (holes in wall / doors) Buy materials (lumber, sheetrock, paint, etc) at Home Depot and other stores. Help carry food / move furniture IRI parties and other social events. Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices Perform all necessary activities assigned by the management team to further the agencys mission.

Sitting Maintenance Support Worker may sit 50-60% of the working day. Standing Maintenance Support Worker may stand 10-20% of the working day. Walking Maintenance Support Worker may walk 10-20% of the working day. Stooping Maintenance Support Worker may occasionally stoop. This is defined as bending body downward by bending spine at the waist. Kneeling Maintenance Support Worker may occasionally kneel. This is defined as bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee(s). Crouching Maintenance Support Worker may occasionally crouch. This is defined as bending body downward and forward by bending spine and legs.
