Superior Ambulance Service EMR - Elmhurst Class in Elmhurst, Illinois

Overview

We are looking for highly motivated and self-driven candidates to join the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Industry. We are offering EMR Sponsorship for our EMR Student Program that will educate students and prepare them to obtain their EMR license and become an Illinois Licensed EMR while getting PAID. All materials are covered by Superior Ambulance Service (SAS). Upon receiving their Illinois EMR licensure, you will be offered a full-time position with Superior Ambulance Services. The class will be held starting June 24th on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am - 12pm.

Responsibilities

  • Observational rider with current Superior Ambulance Field Employees

  • Learning State Protocols and Standards through classroom instruction

  • Represent the Company by being courteous, professional, and a patient advocate.

  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance while maintaining courteous, professional, and ethical behavior while working cooperatively with other members of the health care system, co-workers, and the public.

  • Perform other duties as assigned including those specific to the local operation.

  • Regular and timely attendance consistent with scheduled hours. Absences cannot exceed two classes.

  • Uses care and respect with all equipment and supplies.

  • Must maintain an 80% average in the class to remain in the program and maintain employment.

Qualifications

  • Current state Driver's License in good standing with satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Superiors Driving Policy.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care.

  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Ability to read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence.

  • Other qualifications/certifications specific to the local operation and/or contract requirements.

  • Satisfactorily meet company physical assessments/tests/drug screening.

  • High School diploma or GED required, unless currently enrolled in High School

  • Past training in healthcare related fields, or Military experience is welcomed but not necessary.

  • Must be 18 years or older to be considered.

  • Admission will be approved based on passing an entrance assessment.
