Education:high school diploma or GED

Experience:must have personally experienced mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorder

Job Description

Will work as a member of a team of professionals who provide treatment and services to people who use mental health and co-occurring substance abuse services in the community.

Will contribute to the Agency’s mission to assist individuals with recovery from psychiatric difficulties through the provision of a wide range of non-clinical activities that engage, educate and support individual, their families and caregivers.

Will provide recovery training and outreach to peers in both group and individual settings while demonstrating the values of hopefulness for recovery, respect, acceptance, personal responsibility, honesty and self-advocacy to both peers and colleagues.

For the purposes of this job description a peer is defined as an individual who receives mental health or co-occurring substance abuse services at CHCS.

CHCS believes in the importance of work-life balance, we offer generous leave time with paid sick & vacation time plus seven paid holidays and five paid float holiday time to our full-time staff and pro-rated time for part-time staff.
