Central Washington University is recruiting two Construction Project Coordinator 3 to join our Capital Planning and Projects team in Ellensburg, Washington. This position is expected to renew on July 1, 2025, and it is contingent upon continued project(s) funding that occurs on a biannual basis from the Office of Financial Management (OFM) (Capital budget requests | Office of Financial Management (wa.gov), which has maintained an over 30 year streak of project & minor work funding. The Role:As a member of the Capital Planning & Projects, the Construction Project Coordinator functions as a specialist level construction coordinator responsible for the overall contract administration of assigned Capital projects including: (major capital projects, minor works, auxiliary, and some IPR (Internal Project requests) from pre-planning through project warranty. Project lead duties include: developing preliminary project budgets, providing cost engineering expertise, and monitoring project schedules. As liaison for the university, this roles serves to protect the interest of CWU in their coordination with consultants, vendors, and contractors for the university through building and verifying scopes of work, coordinating contract document development, construction bid management, contract execution (with assistance from contract specialist), site mobilization coordination, verifying conformance to scope of work, approving invoice application, change order management, and project closeout.
