Robert Half has a new permanent opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Columbia, MD area. The ideal candidate will have full-cycle accounting experience and strong organizational skills. This candidate should have experience in operational and general accounting. This role offers full-benefits and great quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle accounts payable/receivable

• Manage company vendors and new vendor set-up process

• Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses

• Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end

• Month and year end close

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations

• Help manage office and assist with special projects

  Requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience

• Strong understanding of General Ledger system and vendor management

• Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills

• Detail oriented

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
