*[HIRING RANGE: *[$2,580.00-$2,866.40/bi-weekly, based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

This position will be responsible for providing educational activities and instruction, documenting student educational needs/progress, supervising assigned staff, and helping students achieve academic success and personal growth.

  • Valid Indiana Teachers License or ability to obtain one within six (6) months; Bachelors Degree in Education (or related field) required and at least five (5) years experience working as a licensed teacher; Masters Degree in Education (or related field) preferred
  • Practical knowledge of educational theories, practices, and legal requirements with ability to provide current and relevant educational activities and instruction, implement individualized accommodations, and utilize educational software
  • Ability to implement Title I resources to meet educational needs of disadvantaged students
  • Complete annual education and Title I audits
  • Working knowledge of and ability to apply for and administer state and federal grant programs
  • Working knowledge of Juvenile IDOC and PREA standards
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviors effectively
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Pre-employment background check, drug test
