Job Title: CDL Driver

Job Description

A furnishings manufacturer in Elkhart is seeking a CDL driver to deliver shipments to their customers. This driver needs a CDL-A and will be usually driving a 48'-53' dry van. The shipments are often carpets or similar products weighing 50-100 lbs per roll, and there are around 400 rolls on the truck. The driver will assist in the unloading most of the time by hand. Routes are assigned based on tenure, so this candidate will likely have longer and more difficult routes. This job includes multiple stop routes, drop and hook routes, and overnight trips. The candidate can expect 1-2 overnight trips per week. There is a training period based on previous experience that could range from a few days to a couple of months. The candidate will ride with a driver and shadow, then the driver will shadow them and report back to the traffic manager.

Hard Skills

• Safe driving record (less than 1 violation in last 3 years)

• CDL class A license

• 1+ years of driving experience

• Willing to assist unloading

• Can drive manual transmission
