Fortive Corporation Engineering Manager in Elizabethtown, North Carolina

Job Summary: The Engineering Manager will oversee the engineering team and manage all engineering activities within the manufacturing assembly plant. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation of the plant, improving processes, and implementing new technologies to enhance productivity and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and support.

  • Develop and implement engineering strategies to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.

  • Oversee the design, development, and TPM of manufacturing equipment and systems.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of innovation.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).

  • Minimum of 5 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
