Job Overview:
Inventory Specialist is responsible, checking, ordering, obtaining, restocking, and maintain par levels for the Operating Room and others location as assigned. Performs procurement activities for assigned areas in a cost-effective manner using current inventory management processes and procedures. Communicates product concerns to supply chain management and seeks input or approval from the Clinical Resource Directors (CRD) for all newly requested items prior to placing an order. Supply Chain clerks should be in business appropriate attire prior to the start of the scheduled shift. Consistently anticipates customer needs and expectations; responds to supply inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Supply Chain experience preferred with computerized inventory control systems and knowledge of medical supplies.
Strong quantitative, oral and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills required
Scheduling Requirements:
Shift- 9:00am-5:00pm
Monday- Friday

Essential Functions:
Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, initiatives, and training
Conducts supply chain activities for assigned areas. Responsible for the research, mitigation, and resolution of customer concerns and escalates when needed
Responses to emergency and add-on procedure request
Assist other team members in the completion of daily tasks
Performs delegated tasks and special projects as assigned.
Acts as a subject matter expert in assigned areas
Attends daily meetings and huddles
Has a working knowledge of all equipment used in the supply chain department
Responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage (walls, ceiling tiles, etc.)
Perform all other duties as assigned
