Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Scrum Master to join our team in El Segundo, California.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and practices.

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Coach team members on Agile methodologies, promoting self-organization and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Remove any obstacles or impediments that may hinder the team's progress and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Track and report project progress, ensuring transparency and visibility to stakeholders and management.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to identify and implement process enhancements.

  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering open communication and trust among team members.

  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging Agile trends, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.

To meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in El Segundo, CA.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. TS/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile software development environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) :

  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.

  • Managing complex projects to completion. Allocating requirements to schedules.

Typical Education & Experience :

Experienced (level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Lead (level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation :

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

Experienced (level 3): 113,900 – 154,100

Lead (level 4): 128,350 – 173,650
