Robert Half Retail Property Manager in El Segundo, California

Description

We are seeking an accomplished Retail Property Manager to oversee a dynamic portfolio exceeding one million square feet, including first-class neighborhood shopping centers and power center assets featuring over 150 tenants. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing daily operations, maintaining strong tenant relations, and driving financial success for a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a retail/office portfolio of over one million square feet, ensuring all properties are well-maintained and operating efficiently.

  • Manage a portfolio consisting of neighborhood shopping centers and power centers with 150+ tenants, ensuring tenant satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.

  • Perform monthly client reporting, including preparation of detailed financial statements, variance reports, and cash flow analyses.

  • Develop and manage property budgets, providing accurate forecasting and ensuring the achievement of financial targets.

  • Monitor cash flow and perform property reconciliations using both cash and accrual accounting methods.

  • Conduct regular inspections of properties and coordinate maintenance and capital improvement projects to enhance asset value.

  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, including multinational investment groups servicing REITs, wholly owned assets, and individual or small corporate-owned properties.

  • Oversee tenant lease compliance, rent collection, and manage any disputes or legal issues that may arise.

  • Collaborate with leasing teams to support occupancy goals and assist with tenant renewals and expansions.

  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations and maintain up-to-date property records and reports.

  • Analyze market trends and provide recommendations for property improvements to maintain competitive edge.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience managing a large retail/office portfolio, including shopping center and power center assets.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and property reconciliations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and clients.
