Department Summary:
The Cyber Assessments department within the Cyber Solutions Innovation Center is the preeminent source of the corporation’s best cybersecurity professionals. The Cyber Assessments Department is a prime example of bringing exceptional cyber professionals to all manners of cyber assessment and testing projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Cyber Assessor/Engineer position will be a core member of the technical team and serve as the first-line support to our Los Angeles based customer. The position requires direct in-person contributions to our Los Angeles based Space Force customer. This is a Los Angeles (MILA) based position.
Key Functions:
Work closely with the Department Manager and members of the leadership team to develop and execute the department's mission, vision, strategy, goals, and objectives.
Contribute technically to one or more MITRE Space Force tasks.
Provide expert acquisition related cyber test expertise to Space Force’s multiple acquisition programs.
Familiarity with vulnerability scanners and network
Collaborate effectively with MITRE, government, and contractors; to effectively communicate in writing, presentations, and collaborative discussions; and able to interface with peers, managers, and sponsors.
Promote collaboration and integration with other organizational elements within the department and across the Cyber Solutions Innovation Center
Basic Qualifications
Top Secret level security clearance is required for consideration
Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Familiarity with vulnerability scanners and network intrusion detection tools.
Solid understanding and experience with one or more cybersecurity capabilities
Solid understanding and experience with operational cyber security practices and commonly used technologies
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and across sponsors as appropriate and experience leveraging relationships to benefit staff and work programs.
Excellent writing and communication skills
Experience leading teams or projects/tasks.
Enjoy a balanced work-life with our 80% hybrid on-site schedule.
This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site
Preferred Qualifications:

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$151,000 - $188,500 - $226,000 Annual
