Job Summary:

Are you a motivated security professional with COMSEC Management experience with a large COMSEC account? If so, Raytheon Space & Intelligence (RI&S) has an opportunity for you as a COMSEC Manager. You will provide COMSEC support to the El Segundo facility.

This position is on site in El Segunda, CA.

Local travel required to other locations as necessary

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Preparation of compliant COMSEC shipments, orders, and receipts.

  • Maintenance of COMSEC equipment and encryption key

  • Tracking supersession dates,

  • Submission of accurate and timely National Security Agency (NSA) accounting reports, performing software upgrades to encryptors and secure telephone equipment,

  • Management of fill devices and other COMSEC equipment; and

  • Conducting/reconciling COMSEC inventories, compliance validations, and incident reporting and investigation, utilizing DIAS and/or KMI software to document accountability actions.

  • Loading of encryptors and secure voice products and management of those schedules.

  • Working with End Cryptographic Unit management and load/fill procedures

  • Train COMSEC users and accountants

  • Working extensively with the NSA CSSM Policy 3-16 and other agency COMSEC doctrines and their associated references

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, Business Management, or similar curriculum and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Industrial Security, Information Assurance/Cyber, Special Programs, security management, military, or government information security programs with strong demonstrated progression from follower to leader.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TOP SECRET clearance prior to start date, U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous NSA COMSEC certification preferred

  • KMI training certification

  • Experience with troubleshooting COMSEC equipment

  • Experience in the management of Windows based information systems

  • Knowledgeable of legacy COMSEC equipment

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
