Eaton Corporation Senior Material Planner in El Paso, Texas

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior Material Planner. This role will take place at our facility in El Paso, TX.

The Senior Material Planner will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating timely deliveries of materials based on MRP, Production, and Scheduling needs while maintain the philosophy of a lean environment.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $52499.97 - $76999.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive material deliveries from Interunit and External Suppliers while support JIT philosophy

  • Check shortage report and assures material availability.

  • Determining the inventory health status of each component.

  • Analyzing and creating material requisition and ensuring delivery based on MRP recommendation.

  • Appropriate planning strategy for each component.

  • Execute and troubleshoot MRP exceptions

  • Act as a liaison between materials, scheduling and production floor to ensure all material ETA’s are provided timely.

  • Ability to determine Sales risk represented by constraint components.

  • Monthly review of ROP and Kanban min/max analysis to avoid shortages or excess while meeting DOH objectives.

  • Lead material Deviations regarding material availability, (Quality, Logistics, Discrepancies)

  • Requests on time cycle counts on high-risk items and ability to determine a Root cause analysis.

  • Lead supplier discussions to avoid disruptions into the plant

  • Create a strategy to reduce excess/obsolete and setting controls.

  • Monitor and control Premium Freight.

  • Attend daily tier meeting to provide materials support

  • Perform other tasks as required

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Two (2) years of experience in Supply Chain

  • Two (2) years of experience managing supplier relationships

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain from an accredited institution

  • Two (2) years of material management experience preferred (sourcing, procurement, purchasing)

  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish

Skills:

  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management operations concept surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving

  • Intermediate Level of Microsoft Office APPS

  • Ability to multi-Task

  • Good understanding of ERP and MRP

  • Great written and verbal communication

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
