Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Data Center Segment Application Engineer. This role is located at our facility in El Paso, TX and offers a hybrid work scheduled of 3 days on site / 2 days remote.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

The Data Center Segment Application Engineer will deliver core panelboard and switchboard expertise to support our hyperscale and/or multi-tenant customers in the rapidly growing data center segment. You will oversee, review, coordinate, and provide key technical input during detailed design activities that include interacting with project management, sales teams, and customers after order entry.

What you’ll do:

• Provide commercial & technical support for the product line, including answering complex customer or field sales questions.

• Attend project kick-off, coordination, on-board drawing reviews and/or witness testing as a subject matter expert based on needs of the project.

• Work with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes.

• Collaborate with other disciplines (manufacturing, project management, sales) to develop construction documentation sets for data center customers.

• Provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases, including compiling as-built documentation.

• Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems involving panelboards and switchboards.

• Provide post-order support across all regions for advanced purchase materials.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Three (3) years in technical sales, marketing or engineering with customer facing experience.

• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

• No relocation offered, applicants must reside within 50 miles of El Paso, TX. Active -Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited university

• Plant operations experience.

• Hands on electrical and mechanical design experience

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, critical power needs for data centers and the design of constructability of electrical power distribution equipment

• Experience with panelboards and switchboards
